Keep important text, logos and critical artwork inside this area to protect them from normal trimming variation.
Supply your main artwork as the print file and create a separate black-and-white mask showing only the areas where the special finish should appear.
Use solid black for areas receiving the finish and white for areas without the finish.

A simple single fold creating four panels. Ideal for menus, programs, invitations and presentation pieces.
One panel folds inward and the opposite panel closes over it. Common for marketing brochures and service handouts.
Panels fold in alternating directions to create a Z-shaped profile. Great for sequential information.
Outside panels fold inward toward the centre, creating a strong reveal when the brochure is opened.
The sheet folds in half and then folds again in the same direction. Useful for compact information-heavy pieces.
Multiple alternating folds create a continuous accordion effect for maps, guides and step-by-step content.
Extend background colours and images at least 0.125" beyond the final trim edge.
Keep important text and logos away from fold positions so content does not sit directly on a crease.
Keep critical information comfortably inside the trim and away from folds and outer edges.
Not every folding style uses identical panel widths. Some folds require one panel to be slightly narrower so the brochure closes properly.
